Good to hear from you again, your questions are clear and well thought out, and I am glad to bo able to bring you some Scriptural answers which I know will help resolve the basic issues.
It appears to me that Roscoe is a spirit or perhaps an angelic being however he has told you does not seem to be consistent with the Word of God, and therefore Scripture invites you to test such an apparition and his claims, in I John we find these words, "Beloved, do not believe every snirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of Cod; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist of which you have heard that it was coming, and even now it is in the world..." (I John 4:1-3). It is quite proper for you to ask Roscoe to state his relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ. Evil spirits have kmowledge of God and are quite deceptive, the counterfeit may look as good as the real, but the above Scripture is tho key issue.
Hebrews Chapter 13 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" and John's Gospel says of our Lord Jesus, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Nord was with God, and the IVord was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. The light shines in file darkness, and the darkness has not put it out...and the Nord was made flesh and kvelt among us, full and truth; we have beheld His glory, Glory as of the only Son frem the Father..." (John 1).
In the Books of Acts Chapter 4, verse 12 we have these words concerning Jesus Christ of Nazareth, "; And there is salvation in no one else, for Saved".
RomarLs Chapter 10 reminds us, "If you confess with your lips that Jesus m Lord and believe in your heart that Cod raised Him from the dead, you wi11 be saved. For mall believes with his heart and so is iustified, and he mnfeasas with his lhos and so is saved. The Scripture says, 'no one who in Him will be nut to shmeck'. For there is no distinction and Greek; the sane Lord is Lord of all and bestows bis riddles all who call upon Him. For 'everyone who calls on the name the Lord will be shaved'".
From these passages the Bible makes it clear that salvation is only Jestks Christ, and Ilis velw name is important. Jobn l:lZ says,

Feelings and emotions' can be out of step and are never a good guide. The Bible gives us the facts,faith is our resporkqe to the facts, feelings are the caboose and will fall in ~ine after I have walked by faith with God. Now prayer is nothing more than honestly and frankly telling Cod exactly how you feel and inviting Him to show you the full truth. Indeed you should pray to God, i .e. Jesus Christ, directler. You might pray, for example along these lines: "Lord Jesus I am anxious to know who you are and I would like to knmy the full truth concerning God and yourself, please help me and resolve noz doubts and fears. I invite you into my heart and am entrusting my life into your hands", lhe worcLs aren't important, but your imler attitude amd sincereity are what God looks for.
I don't believe you have sold your soul to the devil. The idea of selling out to the devil is Faustian, not Scriptural. All .men are either serving god or the devil according to Romans Qmpter 6, and Jesus Christ sets us free to serve llim in total liberty. So you might say all mankind is sold out to the devil and his puppets on a string until Jesus sets them free. However the danger with toying with false prophets and cults is further ensnarement and entanglement. It is serious and dangerous to meddle in the occult, and the Bible warns of the perils of this area, and forbids Christians from getting involved with evil spirits, spiritism, metaphysics, astrology, etc. Remember that truth is truth becanse it never dmnge. Jesus (hrist said, "I am the truth". Cults and religions of recent origin are always suspicious for this reason.

NON the deep things of f;od are yours as soon as your relationship with Jesus Christ has been established. Don't try to ualderstand the whole rich truth of the Bible all at once. l~e vital and key issue at the moment is meeting Jesus Christ and cmm~itting your life to tlim. (~ce you have made this basic decision you can move as rapidly as you like into a knowledge of God and Ills rich tremsures of wisdom.
